Frequently Asked Questions

What makes K-Flow Therapy different from other clinics?

At K-Flow Therapy, we don’t just offer a massage — we deliver results you can feel and trust.
Our treatments are grounded in the latest research and delivered by experienced, qualified therapists who understand what your body needs to recover, move, and perform at its best.

We stand out because we combine clinical expertise with a personal touch — every session is tailored, explained, and focused on your goals.
Why settle for a one-size-fits-all experience when you can have professional care that actually makes a difference?
Choose K-Flow Therapy — where your body’s recovery is our mission.

What’s the difference between Remedial & Sports Massage and Massage Therapy?

Remedial & Sports Massage is a clinical, evidence-based treatment designed to relieve pain, improve mobility, and support recovery from injuries, muscle tightness, or dysfunction.
Massage Therapy is a gentle, wellness-focused treatment aimed at reducing stress, releasing general tension, and promoting overall relaxation and wellbeing.
If you’re unsure which is right for you, we’re happy to guide you when you book.

Who provides Pregnancy and Oncology Massage?

All pregnancy and oncology massage sessions are performed exclusively by Mary, our highly experienced therapist and qualified oncology massage practitioner.
She brings over 20 years of expertise and advanced training to ensure these sensitive treatments are delivered safely and comfortably.

Why is there no private health rebate for Pregnancy and Oncology Massage?

While Mary holds advanced qualifications in these areas, pregnancy and oncology massage are considered wellness-focused supportive care, not clinical remedial treatments for musculoskeletal conditions.
In addition, Mary’s private health insurance provider number has expired, as she returned to practice after retirement to support her son Sam’s vision for K-Flow Therapy.
Because of these two factors, her sessions are not eligible for private health rebates.

Does Mary offer remedial massage techniques?

Yes — Mary is a qualified remedial massage therapist in Australia, and her Massage Therapy sessions may include remedial techniques where appropriate.
However, since her provider number has expired, her treatments — including massage therapy, pregnancy massage, and oncology massage — are not eligible for private health rebates, even when remedial techniques are used.

Does dry needling hurt?

You may feel a brief, dull ache, twitch, or mild discomfort when the needle is applied, but most clients find it tolerable and experience noticeable relief afterward. Your therapist will guide you through what to expect.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. For remedial or sports massage, the therapist may need to access specific areas of your body, but your privacy is always respected with proper draping.

Do you offer discounts or concessions?

Yes — we offer a concession rate for senior card holders. Please ask about the discounted price at your appointment.

Are private health rebates available?

Yes — for Remedial & Sports Massage sessions with Sam, whose provider number is current and recognised by all major health funds.
Mary’s treatments are not eligible for rebates because her provider number has expired and her services focus on wellness care.

Do you treat children or teenagers?

Yes — we welcome younger clients, and Sam holds a current Working With Children Check.
Clients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at their appointment.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is required. You can book directly with us anytime.

Where are you located?

We’re located in Werribee CBD, with plenty of parking available at the front and back of the clinic.
We’re easy to reach for clients from Hoppers Crossing, Tarneit, Wyndham Vale, Truganina, Point Cook, and surrounding suburbs.
You can find our full address and directions on the Contact page.

How can I book an appointment?

We recommend booking online, as we are a small team and do not have a receptionist.
This helps us ensure you get your preferred time and allows us to focus fully on our clients during treatments.
You can also call or visit to book, but online is preferred for the fastest response.
